New York [USA], June 7: The UN General Assembly on Thursday elected five non-permanent members to the UN Security Council (UNSC) for the 2025-2026 term.
Somalia, Pakistan, Panama, Greece and Denmark won the elections at the General Assembly and were congratulated by UN General Assembly President Dennis Francis.

The city of Belagavi, with its significant Marathi-speaking population, has remained a contentious point of contention between the two states.
