UN chief shocked by Czech mass shooting

United Nations, December 22: UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres was shocked and saddened by a mass shooting at a university in
Czech capital Prague, his spokesman said on Thursday.
The secretary-general expressed his deepest condolences to the victims' families and wished those injured a speedy and full recovery, the spokesman Stephane Dujarric said, according to a statement.
The spokesman said the UN chief also reiterated his full solidarity with the people and government of the Czech Republic.
At least 14 people were killed, with 25 others injured, when a suspect opened fire Thursday at Charles University in Prague, making the country's worst mass shooting.
The Czech government on Thursday night announced a day of mourning on Saturday for the victims of the shooting.
