Ukraine said Russia's artillery fire was the "hardest" since the beginning of the year

At a time when the war in Ukraine continued to be tense, the Republican-controlled US House of Representatives announced a bill proposing $14.3 billion in separate aid to Israel in the conflict with Hamas in the Gaza Strip, without mentioning Ukraine. The White House immediately announced that US President Joe Biden would veto the bill that only provides security aid to Israel and excludes Ukraine, according to The Hill newspaper. In the previous proposal, President Biden's administration lobbied the US Congress to combine aid to Israel and Ukraine.
