The US and Germany are about to provide more military aid to Ukraine

Nov 04, 2023

Washington [US], November 4: The New Voice of Ukraine on November 3 reported that Germany has just updated the list of military aid to Ukraine, committing to provide 25 more Leopard 1A5 tanks. Germany will supply a total of 115 Leopard 1A5s to Ukraine in the project co-funded by Denmark.
Previously, the Ukrainian Armed Forces received 12 armored troop vehicles, 2 TRML-4D anti-aircraft radars, 7 Primoco ONE spy drones and 5 surface ships from Germany. The German government has spent about 5.4 billion euros (141,000 billion VND) in military aid to Ukraine in 2023.
Regarding the aid to Ukraine, Reuters on November 3, citing US officials, said that President Joe Biden's administration intends to announce a military aid package worth 425 million USD, including anti-UAV rockets and ammunition. The planned aid package for Ukraine includes laser-guided munitions worth about 300 million USD ( VND 7,372 billion).
Funding for these weapons comes from the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI) program, which allows the US administration to buy weapons from industry instead of from the military's arsenal. The rest of $125 million includes additional ammunition for the NASAMS air defense system, ammunition for the high-mobility artillery rocket system (HIMARS), 105 and 155 mm guns, TOW anti-tank weapons, Claymore mines, small arms and dozens of trucks. Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine until now, the US has provided about $44 billion in security aid to Ukraine. In another development, TASS on November 3 quoted Russian Ambassador to the US Anatoly Antonov as saying that the more the US increases the supply of weapons to Ukraine, the better the Russian army does in destroying them.
