Nov 02, 2023

Washington [US], November 2:The Pentagon has launched an online reporting tool for incidents involving unidentified flying objects (UFOs), allowing expanded efforts to explain these phenomena.
The US Department of Defense has just announced the implementation of a safe reporting mechanism for UFO events on the website of the Office of Anomalous Affairs (Aaro), according to The Guardian newspaper on November 2.
However, the new temporary mechanism is only for current or former federal officials, or people familiar with US government programs or activities about so-called "unconfirmed anomalous phenomena". ( UAP ), the Pentagon 's official name for UFOs.
US officials said the mechanism for receiving reports from civilians will soon be put into use. This is a move that shows that the US government is gradually fulfilling its promise to be completely open about what it knows, or doesn't know, about everything from strange streaks of light in the sky to the possibility of life. extraterrestrial beings and cases of unusual "airships" appearing.
The deployment of the new tool comes after NASA appointed Mark McInerney as the first director of the UAP research effort. At the same time, the US space agency also promises to gather an "army" of stargazers around the world to improve observation results and analyze unusual phenomena.
On the agency's website, Aaro said the new tool serves as an initial point of contact, and does not receive information from secondary sources about UAP.
Aaro Director Sean Kirkpatrick affirmed that those who see and experience UAPs with their own eyes are welcome to report information. What they provide will be kept confidential and considered protected information.
