Small plane crashes in east Thailand, killing 1 on board

Bangkok [Thailand], January 13: A small plane crashed in eastern Thailand on Saturday, killing one on board and injuring another, local media reported.
Authorities were reported at around 9:00 a.m. local time after the single-engine plane crashed into a paddy field in Chon Buri province. One injured person, who was seriously wounded, was taken to a local hospital, according to public broadcaster Thai PBS.
Witnesses told Thai PBS that the small plane was attempting to land in the field, but it lost control and collided with a tree before hitting the ground.
