Dec 25, 2023

Washington [US], December 25: Reuters reported yesterday that Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley, former US Ambassador to the UN, has emerged in recent public opinion polls.
In particular, the poll on the primary election in New Hampshire scheduled to take place on January 23, 2024 showed that Ms. Haley received a support rate of 29%, compared to 33% for former US President Donald Trump .
A recent Reuters/Ipsos poll shows that Mr. Trump still leads the Republican Party's internal competition to run for office in 2024, with a support rate of 61%, while Ms. Haley and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis both received only 11%. To defeat Mr. Trump in the race, Ms. Haley needs to attract more voters in rural areas, middle class or working class, according to Reuters citing a number of strategists.
