Fire at Kabul gas plant kills two, injures over 100

Kabul [Afghanistan], November 4: A devastating fire erupted at a gas production facility in Kabul's Paghman district, claiming the lives of at least two people and injuring over 100 others, Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority announced on Sunday.
The authority added that the incident also caused significant financial damage, with estimates exceeding $1.2 million.
According to the statement, the fire led to widespread destruction, scattering gas tanker fragments across a 2-kilometre radius.
Residents suffered financial losses due to the damage caused by the huge fire.
Officials estimated that the death toll and injury figures are preliminary and may rise.
Joint teams are currently investigating the cause of the fire. (DPA)
