Brazil's vice president assures transition process

Sao Paulo (Brazil), December 1: Brazil's Vice President Hamilton Mourao Tuesday reiterated the current government's willingness to carry out the transition process with the team appointed by President-elect Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.
Mourao made the remarks while meeting with Vice President-elect Geraldo Alckmin, who was chosen by Lula to head the transition team.
"The transition is underway. We met with Alckmin and everything is going well," Mourao told reporters after his first face-to-face meeting on transition with Alckmin.
Former President Lula won the second round of presidential elections in October, thereby getting set to serve a third four-year term beginning Jan. 1, 2023.
