Bahrain welcomes success of UAE's mediation to exchange captives between Russia, Ukraine

Manama [Bahrain], January 5: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain has welcomed of the success of the UAE's mediation regarding the exchange of captives between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Ukraine.
In a statement carried by the Bahrain News Agency, the ministry expressed its appreciation for the UAE's diplomatic initiatives to resolve conflicts peacefully and to mitigate their humanitarian consequences.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain's support for international efforts to achieve a ceasefire and to find a comprehensive and lasting political solution to the crisis between Russia and Ukraine through dialogue and negotiations, in accordance with the principles of international law and the UN Charter, in a way that contributes to promoting security, stability, and peace at the regional and international levels.
