Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) May 22: Atletico Madrid central defender Felipe Monteiro has been drafted into Brazil's squad for World Cup qualifiers against Ecuador and Paraguay, the Brazilian Football Confederation said on Friday.
The 32-year-old replaces Benfica's Lucas Verissimo, who suffered a leg injury in his team's 3-1 win at Vitoria SC in Portugal's PrimeiraLiga on Wednesday.
