5.9-magnitude quake hits Macquarie Island region: USGS

New York [US], June 10: An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 jolted Macquarie Island region at 21:21:42 GMT on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 9.796 km, was initially determined to be at 60.5107 degrees south latitude and 160.3279 degrees east longitude.
